Jimmy oversees the legal, land, construction development and project analysis for all BhavaMar developments.

Jimmy graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) with a B.S. degree in Construction Science and Management and a minor in Business Administration. He began his professional career while attending UTSA with a national commercial general contractor in Houston, TX working at the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center (NASA) building 21. He quickly moved up within the company and became a lead field engineer within the first 6 months. He was responsible for bidding projects, creating and managing project budgets and project schedules, negotiating contracts with subcontractors, drafting purchase orders & change orders, handling RFI’s and submittals, maintaining close communication with onsite superintendent, site visits, meeting with clients, reviewing and approving daily/weekly reports.

During his studies at UTSA, Jimmy was recognized by the College of Architecture, highlighting his national achievement on the Construction Intern Awards presented by the college as he was recognized as one of the strongest interns in the industry at the time.

 

After 5 years of experience in the commercial construction industry, Jimmy transitioned to commercial residential development and led a 320 single family residential project in Austin, TX. That was a 2-year project, and he wanted to learn not only the on-site real estate development aspect but also the office internal aspect. This is when he decided to pursue his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Houston Law Center and focused on real estate development and transactions. Jimmy is now very well versed in the construction, development, real estate, and legal intricacies of the real estate world.

 

Jimmy began his real estate career after gaining over 6  years of experience in both commercial and residential construction as an investor, participating and raising capital for multiple real estate projects, ranging from small single-family homes to rehabs. Since his departure from his full-time job, Jimmy has dedicated himself to growing in the real estate development industry by developing his own projects, and via partnerships with other developers, with the goal to create exceptional commercial and residential communities nationwide.
